Dataset was created under request from Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation.

Description

5m resolution bare-earth DEM obtained from ground filtering of FLI-MAP LiDAR survey data for an area from Portage la Prairie north to Lake Manitobaand covering an area of approximately 624 square kilometres.

Measure description Raw LiDAR data is used to generate a triangulated elevation model of the terrain. The resulting elevations are compared to those acquired using ground based post-processed kinematic surveys along roads within the project area. Comparisons are also made for known such as base stations. Results are then averaged using the entire dataset. All values are in meters except sample size.
