Type Raster Dataset
The Willow Creek digital elevation model (DEM) was derived from airborne LiDAR data. The DEM can be used to generate contours. DEM data can be used in a GIS environment.
The data provided is a DEM covering 1129 square-kilometres of the Icelandic River / Willow Creek watershed in Manitoba. DEM files were generated at 1-metre resolution from LiDAR points classified as ground points. The DEM is a 32-bit floating point raster in geotiff format, in the horizontal coordinate system of NAD 1983 CSRS UTM Zone 14N and the vertical coordinate system of CGVD28.

LiDAR data was acquired on Oct 20 and Nov 2, 2020. LiDAR data was calibrated and classified. The classified data was used to create the DEM using the following classes: 2 (ground). The DEM was created at 1-metre resolution and then exported as a geotiff with 32 bit floating elevations.
