The grid was then modified to to beome the minicipal road layer by referencing information from the Federal geographical maps at 1:20,000 scale in the Capital Region and 1:50,000 scale for the rest of the province. Since the Geographical maps were generated from dated air photos, information from each municipality in in the pilot project was used to further refine the municipal road spatial layer.
